What is Amber card?
Amber card is a prepaid card that works like a credit card without credit. You can only spend what deposit into your wallet. Amber card is not a debit card and you cannot do direct debit payments
How can I use the Amber Card?
Amber Card can be used to purchase online, in stores, make ATM withdrawal and have wages paid into card. Amber Cards holders can also transfer for and instantly to other Amber Cards holders Globally
What powers Amber Card?
The Amber Cards are powered by Visa or MasterCard
What is the maximum limit on Amber Cards?
Depending on what card you obtain, there are limits between £20k to £500,000 card limit.
How do you load cards?
Cards can be loaded by a bank transfer and a load option via the Amber website and App.
Is there a fee for loading cards?
There is a 2%-3% fee on loading via bank transfer and approximately 3.2% fee via loading from website or App.
Can family members and friends load my card on my behalf?
Anyone can load your card on your behalf via the website by clicking load now button, simple give them your token ID number as a reference and we will make sure the customer’s wallet is loaded. Payment processor will charge unto 3.2%. There are no fees from Amber and no charge on the exchange rate.
What countries does Amber Card operate in?
My Amber Card is a global card issuing company and we have offices in UK, Rwanda, Gambia, Nigeria, US and partnerships in the UAE with further expansion plans in 2023-2025
Does Amber Card have any benefits or rewards?
Amber Cards are packed with rewards and new ones are added regularly. Using the Amber rewards will save you anything between £30 per month to £1000s depending the card you decide to purchase.
Where is Amber’s main office?
Amber is UK based company with offices also in Rwanda, Gambia, Nigeria, US and UAE.
Is Amber regulated?
Amber is registered with FCA via our sister holding company First Money Services Ltd
Will my money be protected with Amber?
All customer’s money is kept in UK segregated account with all the protection of the FSCS. (Please visit fscs website to learn more)
How do I apply for an Amber Card?
Simply visit us on www.myambercard.com choose your region and apply online. You will be ask to provide a KYC and most account are verified after submitting proof of ID within 48hr or less, If your KYC is not complete or inaccurate this may cause your account to take longer to open.
